Umbeleko works towards alleviating the burden of poverty and hunger in the community of Barcelona, Gugulethu by providing feeding schemes, after school care with extra-curricular activities, arts and crafts and sport to primary school children. Umbeleko also works towards youth upliftment, by means of internship, information and referrals to artisanship programs. Umbeleko also works closely with families in the community of Barcelona, providing information, workshops (through partner organisations) and advice.
