It’s that time of the year again when gleaming BMWs, state-of-the-art superbikes and a collection of the finest and not so fine motorcycles travel through the streets of the Mother City for the 32nd annual Toy Run® Cape Town, a motorcycling charity event that sees hordes of bikers collect teddies and toys to delight underprivileged children over the festive season.
WHEN: Held on the last Sunday of November each year, the Toy Run® is a great day out for the biker enthusiast. The event itself normally lasts 6 to 7 hours, with many stalls, exhibitors, attractions and entertainment lined up.
ENTRY FEE: Entry fee to the William Herbert Sports Field is a donation of AT LEAST one toy per person. Those who come empty handed will not be allowed access to the end venue. In an effort to assist those last-minute supporters who do not bring a toy, there will be a special entrance where a cash donation can be made or a toy purchased. Please note: no alcoholic beverages or private catering to be brought into the William Herbert Sports Field.
START VENUE: The start of the Toy Run® is an event in itself, with excitement and a vibe all of its own. GRANDWEST CASINO is the start venue for the event this year.
END VENUE: The Toy Run® ends at the William Herbert Sports Fields, with internal fields available for parking. There will be facilities such as a beer garden, food stalls, motorcycle displays, accessories, bike-related jewellery and memorabilia, entertainment, comedians, live music and space to just relax.
