World Changers Academy (WCA) is probably the largest NGO in South Africa that trains unemployed with life skills. In terms of output: 2000 per year attend one of 75 different 20 day life skills courses in over 25 different communities. WCA has trained 9000 high school students in life skills and 1000 in residential leadership programmes since 2003. WCA has a strategic partnership with the Mr Price Group, and places its students into over 40 stores around KwaZulu-Natal for work experience and employment opportunities. WCA also partners with other large employers in KwaZulu-Natal. WCA’s programmes have proven successful in transforming and empowering criminals, substance abusers, those affected by HIV / AIDS, the hopeless, the emotionally broken as well as victims of abuse.
