Sunday, September 8 marks International Literacy Day and this year the Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) SPCA is calling on Capetonians to celebrate their love for reading by supporting the SPCA Book Sale between 6 and 8 September 2013 at the Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village in Green Point.
The three day book sale, located in the Village Market Events Area on level O, promises to have a wide selection of quality second-hand books on offer, with something to suit every reader’s taste. Customers who bring a bag of pet food along as a donation to the SPCA will receive a discount off their purchase.
‘Not only will you be participating in a day worth celebrating and which aims to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, and especially children, but you will at the same time be helping the SPCA feed hundreds of cats and dogs as all proceeds go directly to the CoGH SPCA’, said Resource Development Manager Lise-Marie Greeff-Villet.
