We aim to help people back on their feet. Help with immediate needs such as food and clothes. The shop sells pre-used clothes and items. The people on our books receive 5 sets of clothes every 3 months and the shop makes it possible for the people in need to take the clothes of their choice of a shelve and not receive it in a plastic bag. We also have a shelter named Uitkoms where homeless people are staying. A water project called ‘Water for Life’ are selling borehole water to the public. Various small contractor projects where we refer the people on our books to do jobs we know about. We help them look for work, assist in the legal problems concerning children, debt, etc. We are currently assisting 2400 people in and around Witbank. Also assist 2 old age homes, a children’s home, a child feeding scheme in a local squatter camp and the SPCA. We were known as Doulos Roepingsbond, but our work in Mpumalanga got so big that we are now only in partnership with Doulos.
