Vukani-Ubuntu Community development projects have grown from a single project back in 1998, to a national network of grass-roots development projects across the country. It is the largest mineral-beneficiation organisation in the jewellery sector in South Africa and also the largest trainer and skills developer of emerging black jewellers in the industry, currently allowing access into the formal sector, to over 150 historically disadvantaged individuals annually. This has largely contributed to black economic empowerment and poverty alleviation in South Africa.
