‘Fighting 4 the disabled, fighting 4 the poor, fighting 4 a better life for all and showing that we’re a caring society.’

Primary Objectives:

- To provide assistance to street kids and poor people assisting them with food parcels, clothes, build houses for those are needy and other valuable necessities especially in rural areas of Eastern Cape.
- To provide assistance to people with disabilities in terms of grant related matters, walking sticks, refer others to guide dog org, and empowering them with skills such as cane weaving, computer skills and learnership programs.
- We’re committed in empowering rural areas working hand-in-hand with government departments, private sector and other organizations by means of mobile clinics, mobile police stations, training centres and old age homes.
- We aim to empower and develop rural areas responding to the government call of empowering our communities, women, disabled and youth in the spirit of Vuk’uzenzele through agricultural projects and other community broad based projects.

Nkosiphendule William Mgangxwana found the Universal Foundation to fight for the disabled in the Eastern Cape as he felt that there was no organization that looked after the rights of the disabled, especially blind and partially sighted persons.

As a boy Nkosi came up with the idea of skills development centre and today he is using his disability grant to build such a centre at Mgezwa A/A Lusikisiki. He is using his grant as there is no funding or support from the community, government or private companies.

In order to make a living Nkosi approached the Post Office with an idea to assist them with postal deliveries. Today the project is making and installing post boxes in order for rural people to receive post, flyers, newspapers, etc.
