Tour d’Afrique – Cairo to Cape Town Cycle Tour

The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (South Africa) is a welfare veterinary health care provider with hospitals, clinics and mobile units (clinics on wheels) making veterinary care accessible to poorer communities. We are dependent on our own fundraising, and do not receive any government funding to cover our work, furthermore most of our clients are not able to make any contribution towards the cost of the required treatment and/or surgery. In the light of our fundraising efforts, Dr Emerton, Senior welfare resident vet at our Bridgetown Hospital, has undertaken to participate in the Tour d’Afrique Cairo to Cape Town cycle tour in order to raise much needed funds for PDSA – FYI: in the whole of Africa, PDSA is based in only two countries, one in Egypt, where the tour begins and the other in South Africa, where the tour ends. Please support his efforts by making a donation, please visit our website www.pdsa.org.za for more information or call Melanie 021-6385134 / mdaniels@pdsa.org.za for banking details. Doc Emerton is the oldest cyclist undertaking this major challenge, Go Doc we are all routing for you!
