Thusano Prevention Programme seeks to address the problem of vulnerable and needy children in Maboloka village (North West) and the surrounding areas, who are dropping out of school because of poverty and end up committing crime, abusing drugs, being at risk of childhood pregnancy and contracting HIV / AIDS.

The program works with the local schools to identify these vulnerable learners and then visit their homes to assess the family situation. The identified and assessed learners are invited to the drop-in centre to be assisted with homework, learning material, sports art and culture, reading, a meal and holiday programmes to remove them from the streets. The beneficiaries are from granny and child headed house holds and those parents who cannot assist their children with school work because of their limited educational knowledge.
