STEPS South Africa is a voice for babies and children with clubfoot and other lower limb disorders. Incorrect or incomplete treatment can have long-term effects on quality of life. We promote the gentle and effective Ponseti method for clubfoot treatment

- STEPS builds capacity for early detection and treatment. Every child has the right to access effective treatment by a trained professional.
- STEPS provides parents with updated information and support.
- STEPS supports further research and best practice through a partnership approach with doctors, government, parents and patients.

Dr Ignacio Ponseti suffered a stroke and died on 18th October 2009. This extraordinary man changed the lives of thousands of children worldwide world with his non-invasive method of treating Clubfoot. STEPS will continue his legacy. We want every child born in Southern Africa to have access to the Ponseti method.
