We represent the South African branch of Save the Elephants (STE), a non-profit organisation founded in Kenya by Dr Iain Douglas-Hamilton in the 1990s to help fight the illegal ivory trade. We are dedicated to securing a future for elephants and to the on-going growth of man’s understanding of elephant ecology. The Transboundary Elephant Research Programme focuses on studying elephant movements to the North, East and West of the Kruger National Park within the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. Save the Elephants – South Africa (STE-SA) is sustained by public support, enthusiasm and donations.
