Orifuna Old Age Home

Orifuna Centre is committed to work in partnership with the local NGOs, businesses and government departments in the fight against HIV/AIDS, gender inequality and poverty to enhance the quality of life, especially for unemployed women and children and to find permanent and sustainable solutions to their problems.

Orifuna Centre’s main objectives are:

- To prepare young children for the challenging life that they will live.
- To contribute towards thr physical and mental growth of children.
- To keep children away from any form of abuse.
- To provide food and shelter for needy children.
- To accommodate HIV/AIDS infected people and orphans.
- To cater for the physically and mentally handicapped people in the community.
- To promote the spirit of independence through arts and crafts, sports and agriculture.
- To develop young people who are vulnerable and rejected to develop a sense of belonging.
- To give healthcare to people who are on chronic medication.
- To take care of the old aged people by promoting a sense of belonging through handiwork, sports, arts and culture.

Orifuna Centre’s secondary objective will be:

- To provide care for unattended children for working parents.
- Create employment opportunities.
- Contribute towards community development.
