The NAC is deeply committed to social upliftment and charitable outreach in the Tongaat and surrounding areas. NAC has endeavoured to implement and sustain the following services with limited resources:
- Mobile Clinic was established at Belvedere Community Hall.
- Soup Kitchen in Tongaat and Belvedere clinic.
- Monthly grocery hampers to destitute families.
- NAC Social Club emphasis is placed on giving disadvantaged individuals the platform to interact with each other and people from other sectors. The club also focuses on creating opportunities in establishing networks in terms of employment and development.
- Assisting destitute families in terms of school matters, welfare and grant applications.
- Social assistance during times of bereavement, suicide, substances abuse family abuse, etc.
Each branches of work in the NAC present the key objectives based on the delivery of service by the NAC:
- To serve the community
- To protect and further the interest of all citizens within NAC’s jurisdictions.
- To assist with matters affecting the citizens.
- To try and ensure the delivery of service from government and be the voice of the people.
- To make representation and present the views of the citizens within NAC’s jurisdictions to local council, provincial government, central government and all other stakeholders on the matters affecting the citizens.
- To work with other bodies and other organization with allied interest.
- To contribute to empowerment and social responsibilities.
