Danone Clover presented a cheque for R100 000,00 to the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation at the Danone Clover CHOC House in Soweto on Friday 17 July. The gift was just one aspect of the ongoing Danone Clover Kids ‘Caring for Our Children’ campaign, which has created CHOC Houses in five cities as sanctuaries for children who are being treated for cancer. A new beneficiary, Food Gardens Foundation, has been added to this year’s campaign and together with Danone Clover, the campaign has taken up the cause of childhood hunger and food security. Through the campaign, Danone Clover aims to contribute towards providing essential vitamin and mineral containing vegetables that will complement more than 1,7 million meals a year, together with Food Gardens Foundation, for children in underprivileged schools.
