Nazareth House Durban

Nazareth House, Durban, was formally opened on 18 May 1896 by the Sisters of Nazareth to offer assistance to the aged as well as orphaned children. In addition, it is used to accommodate visiting clergy and to take care of our frail priests and nuns, who have dedicated their lives in service to GOD OUR FATHER. The House continues to take care of the aged and the frail and now primarily operates as a Retirement Home and Frail Care centre, with the Children’s Home having closed. In addition, we also support two outreach programmes, viz. the HIV Outreach programme at KwaMashu Catholic Church and the Refugee Feeding Scheme at Emmanuel Cathedral.
