Our main focus area are people living with disabilities - physical, intellectual & mental illness as well as people infected and affected with Aids. We work extensively with people and families living with depression and present courses on managing and maintaining good mental health: for example: Life Skills Training; Stress Management and Conflict Management. One of our main projects at the moment is Assited Living Houses for pshyciatric patients.

WE NEED:
Due to the large area connected to Mental Health we are in need of money as well as any other consumables eg. food, clothing, equipment (for protective workshops - gardening tools, wood-working machinery, sewing machines - material) arts and crafts to empower patients as well as any form of skills training (for example: sewing, gardening etc.) for people with disabilities. We also have a Toy Library which are in dire need of toys and educational games.

We also have a Toy Library, that lends out toys and educational games to enhance the life of people with disabilities, enabling them to develop and learn in a positive way.

Current projects are:

  • 1. Physical, battered and abused people & victims of violence

  • 2. Psychological traumatized people

  • 3. Education program for people / children with disabilities

  • 4. Children with learning disabilities

  • 5. Toy library

  • 6. Psycho-social rehabilitation

  • 7. Stimulation centers for children with disabilities

  • 8. HIV / AIDS awareness education

  • 9. Child Mental Health Center

  • 10. Women outreach / Job creation project

  • 11. Effective Life Management (skills) for children

  • 12. Awareness education concerning the quality of life for adults with learning difficulties

  • 13. Substance abuse rehabilitation

  • 14. Stress management

  • 15. Job Creation through Protective Workshops

  • 16. Capacity Building program for Stimulation centers

  • 17. Depression & Anxiety Support group

  • 18. Assisted Living for people living with mental illness & other disabilities
