Motheo wa Katlego Community Development and Other Projects is a non profit organisation that take care of Orphan Vunerable children, destitute families, HIV / AIDS infected and affected people in Winterveldt.

We are registered with the Department of Welfare and Tax Exempted. We saw the need to establish a drop in centre to be able to assist orphans and vulnerable children. Our programmes are Drop in centre (after care, caters children from 6 to 18), support groups, home visits, life skills and psycho-social support for OVC.

We have 64 orphans including vulnerable children. Our challenges are increasing number of OVC seeking care and support, drug abuse, lot of immigrants in our area who have no identity document and birth certificates, insufficient funds, food and remuneration for care givers.

Activities are: Music, drama, school work, support groups, prepared meals, sports, board games (life skills).

We work together with different stakeholders, like clinics, home affairs, the police and schools.
