Kitty and Puppy Haven is a rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing sanctuary based in Gauteng. We are a no-kill shelter and we provide a place of safety for injured, abused and rescued animals, as well as unwanted animals from townships.

Any animal brought into the shelter is immediately assessed by our vets, treated for parasites, vaccinated and then nursed back to health. When an animal is given a clean bill of health physically and emotionally it is placed up for adoption. All our animals are sterilised from 12 weeks of age. We adopt over 100 animals into suitable loving homes monthly and usually have over 300 animals in our shelter at any given time.

We have a huge community upliftment and education project in Alexandra Township. The residents are all provided with FREE primary health care, vaccinations, rabies, parasite control, food for their pets and free collars and leads. We conduct ALEX DOG DAYS on a bi monthly basis, where we set up in San Kapaono Stadium and provide all these commodities for the residents. We have had 3 this year alone. We have just opened our own Community Veterinary Clinic to be able to provide these services on a daily basis to the underprivileged communities. We also provide education in the schools.

We are not funded and rely on donations.
