Kids Haven works to rehabilitate and reintegrate street children and other vulnerable children. There are a range of programmes to reach this goal:

1. Outreach – meet children on the street and develop relationships to encourage them off the streets;
2. Admission to the Shelter – first stage care and rehabilitation. Children receive all basic needs and are assigned their own social worker. Children included in programmes;
3. Admission to the Village – 2nd stage care once a child has stabilized but still unable to be reintegrated;
4. Psychosocial services – therapeutic interventions through individual or group counselling to meet the needs arising from past trauma;
5. Education – entry to bridging school programme that leads to enrolment in formal school;
6. Reunification programme – to link children with family again and prepare the way for reintegration;
7. Community work – a community pre-school and food parcels and help for the poor in the area.
