We’ve called JUNKIE a charity department store because it carries such a wide range of things – from trinkets, clothes and accessories to an assortment of homeware that includes furniture and appliances and areas of special interest such as haberdashery, toys, books and records – and at a variety of price points that allows even the most economically challenged to come away with something worthwhile. JUNKIE gives dignity to the idea of ‘second hand’. We respect the ‘generational’ worth of stuff. We re-clean, re-care, re-use, recycle everything and anything. In doing so we offer shoppers a bargain find, a money-saving opportunity, we reduce our collective carbon footprint and finally, contribute to the wellbeing of our animal and human compatriots.
