Isibani Sethemba strengthens impoverished families in the Umkhanyakude district of KwaZulu-Natal. It targets families caring for orphans and for terminally ill people. It provides assistance to the families directly by providing social services and home based care and palliative care. It also strengthens the community to care for their weakest members by building up schools and churches in the area. Community members are taught how to grow food, get government grants and generate income for themselves and how to wisely spend the money they have. We believe in a sustainable development approach.
