Hagar Home Based Care, situated in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, provides a temporary home and shelter to victims of family violence, provide food for orphaned, abandoned and neglected children, provide care and assistance to the aged and or other vulnerable people where required. Work closely with the adoption of Child Welfare and Procure Adoption Agency. For a period of time until they can stand on their own feet again. In the future we would like to accommodate 4 to 5 women and their children and assist them to regain their confidence to function independently again.

Victims of family violence are usually stripped from their sense of humanity, self-esteem and self-confidence. Our aim at Hagar Home Based Care is to restore these women and children’s sense of self-worth by means of physical care i.e. finding jobs, provision of meals, shelter and medical care, counselling and general assistance in order to empower them to fend for themselves, stand on their own feet and to create a better future for themselves and their children. We try to make a real difference in the lives of the women and children.
