 | FOCUS AREA:
The FOM Scholarship Scheme exists to help provide high quality health services to the people of rural South Africa, by the identification, training and support of rural students who have the potential to become rural health care professionals.
On completion of their training, these young health care professionals work at one of the 5 hospitals in the Umkhanyakude district in return for the opportunity they had to study a health science qualification.
The FOM Scholarship Scheme provides comprehensive mentoring and financial support to rural students during their studies and assists them to integrate into the hospital working environment and become professional health care workers on graduation.
The FOM Scholarship Alumni become role models in their communities and encourage the rural youth to work hard and stay HIV negative in order to achieve their dreams.
WE NEED:
Funding to pay for University fees for students studying a health science degree. The students have a year for year work back contract.
