Ekhayalethu Care Centre assists orphans and vulnerable children with life’s basic needs i.e. school uniforms, food security, sport development, general counselling and spiritual help. The organisation also assists youth with skills development.

The organisation’s main challenge is a building structure where all the programmes can be run smoothly as well as a bakkie which can do all the deliveries and collections of different in-kind donations. The local chief has granted Ekhayalethu a big site.

Ekhayalethu’s future plan is to have a building that shall consist of an administrative block, library, computer centre, two counselling rooms, multipurpose hall, kitchen and dining hall.
