Our organization’s name is abbreviated ‘D.CLING’. It is a project based in Davhana Balanganani village in Limpopo, in the Vhembe district under Makhado Municipality, which aims to involve the community in literacy and numeracy. Amongst the activities done since 2007 are:
- a back to school campaign which is done every year trying to bring back the culture of learning,
- reading clubs for primary learners,
- annual activity (where drama, poetry, traditional dances, debates, singing becomes the main activities of the day),
- fundraising events to keep the project going since we have no formal sponsorship.
We also established abet.
