CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA

CHOC provides direct practical help to children with cancer, from diagnosis onwards. This support is extended to the families as well, as a diagnosis of cancer places enormous emotional and financial strain on the parents or care-givers. CHOC aims to alleviate as much distress as possible through various programmes. CHOC also supports the state-funded specialised treatment centres working in close liaison with the medical staff to ensure that the medical and physical facilities in the centres are of a high standard. CHOC also advocates for those whose lives are affected by childhood cancer and supports research into studies investigating the causes and treatment of childhood cancer.
