The Children’s Disability Centre supports education and outreach work for children with Autism and young children with visual impairment. The primary work is in support of funding needs of the Johannesburg Hospital School units for Autism based at the CMI in Braamfontein. These units cater for learners from age 3 to 21 with severe Autism. Secondly, the CDC offers outreach and training to educators and family members needing more information about Autism and how to intervene when a child has Autism.
