The Cape Kidney Association was formed in 1978 by a group of Nephrologists. The purpose of the Association is to assist Indigent Kidney patients and their families with nutrition (food) parcels monthly. Bursaries to assist kidney patients wanting to further their studies, but due to lack of funds in the family, the Cape Kidney assists with bursary funds. We also assist, through the Social Workers at the Hospitals, with travelling cost. Our needs are great, and we constantly need to increase our fund raising.
