The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is proud to invite you to the 3rd annual CANSA Relay For Life, East Rand Community event to be hosted 21 and 22 March 2014 at Hoërskool Hans Moore in Benoni.
Come and enter your team (R1 500-00 per team of 15 members) for this special event. Relay For Life is a fun, overnight team event that raises awareness of cancer and raises much needed funds to fight cancer. During Relay, teams of 10-15 co-workers, friends, neighbours and families commit to keeping at least one member walking the track at all times because cancer never sleeps. Each team member submits a registration fee of R100 (ages 13 and up); children between 6 and 12 years register at R50 each and children under 6 years are free.
During the 2nd annual event in 2013, the East Rand Community came together to celebrate cancer survivorship; remembered those lost to the disease and together 203 teams with over 4500 participants and 217 cancer survivors fought back against this dreaded disease that has taken too much from too many of us by raising nearly R1,5 million in the global fight against cancer.
This year our goal is to encourage the East Rand Community to live healthy lives, be proactive with early detection screenings and much more with at least 250 teams and 250 cancer survivors from the community and raise at least R1,5 million in the global fight against cancer. The event is guaranteed to be fun-filled and exciting with many surprises in store. Entertainment by various local artists, the Relay Recess Superheroes, Toktokkie and many more.
We’re looking forward to receiving you and your team members at the 3rd annual event to be part of this international movement in the fight against cancer. Please contact us should you need more information.
