BABS was established in April 1973 to provide community services to communities on the Cape Flats. Our core business is people and investing in humanity to enable individuals to become more independent. Our aim is to implement effective participatory developmental projects to empower communities with skills to enhance and improve their quality of life. BABS’ services include an Educare Service, an Aftercare Service, a Seniors Club for the Elderly as well as a chiropody clinic. We also do training programmes when funding is available. A soup kitchen is also operated five days a week from the Centre.
