ACVV PE South

The mission of ACVV PE South is to develop, support and sustain disintegrated family units within poverty-stricken communities by the deliverance of strength based and capacity building programmes. ACVV PE SOUTH is a Family Care Organisation and was established by volunteers on 14 April 1927.

The ACVV PE SOUTH is one of seven branches in Port Elizabeth. It is a non-political welfare organization and does not discriminate against religion, race, gender or creed. The mandate of ACVV PE South is to provide and facilitate effective and efficient service delivery to the vulnerable groups of society, the poorest of the poor, the marginalized and the disadvantaged groups in the working area. In 2009 we reached over 10 000 needy people through counselling, workshops, community projects and functions, awareness campaigns, social work and family reunification, community outreach and helping through emergency relief care among many other services.

Service centre for the elderly in Forest Hill area
Assistance to elderly living below the bread line
Preventative programs for children and youth incl. Life Skill programs
Youth camps and Holiday programs
Parental Guidance workshops
Full day care facilities including babies and toddlers
