www.princesschristianhome.org FOCUS AREA:
Princess Christian Home has been providing residential accommodation to senior citizens and those with mental and physical needs, in an affordable, comfortable and safe environment, since 1904.

We aim to provide suitable care to the aged of all races, including those who are frail and / or require specialised care - Alzheimer sufferers and stroke victims, chronically ill and frail elderly. This has been achieved and will be sustained for as long as the Home responds to the needs in the community and maintains a high level care, strong financial controls and continues to train all health care staff.

We aim to provide suitable accommodation and services to senior citizens in the community, particularly those who do not qualify for shelter at a government subsidised institution but cannot afford up market retirement centres; ensure that our staff receive continuous training; increase financial independence by instituting income generating services which will diminish the envisaged increase of pressure on the government for assistance.

To provide expert accommodation and care to senior citizens and those with mental and physical needs in an affordable, comfortable and safe environment.

WE NEED:
Princess Christian Home receives no financial support from government and functions as an independent, non-profit organisation. All residents pay a monthly fee which covers accommodation and three balanced meals/day.

In order to be financially independent, additional income has to be raised in order to support a few residents in need, to maintain the building, kitchen and nursing facilities and to provide an attractive environment to the residents and their families.

Income generated by regular fundraising events, e.g. morning markets, jumble sales as well as by the bookshop, is used to balance the books. Any donations would be welcomed.
